The location was stunning, surrounded by lush jungle and offering a true oasis feel. the staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. the food at the on-site restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. the bungalows were comfortable and well-equipped, with a personal terrace to relax on. the trek organized by the hotel was private and allowed us to explore the beautiful surroundings.
There was a challenging uphill trek to reach the hotel, which could be difficult if you have a lot of luggage. However, they do offer assistance with porters if needed.

Our stay at this bungalow was absolutely incredible! The location was stunning, with breathtaking views and wild orangutans right outside. The staff was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was spacious and offered beautiful views, and the food was absolutely delicious. We were also able to leave our luggage while we went on a jungle trek, which was so convenient. Highly recommend, just be mindful of the steep track up to the property.

I had an amazing experience staying at this bungalow in Bukit Lawang. The location was perfect, right near the entrance of the National Park. The room I stayed in was cozy, clean, and bug-free, providing a comfortable and peaceful sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing information about trekking options and even helping with luggage. The food at the property was excellent, offering authentic Indonesian cuisine at reasonable prices. Plus, the proximity to the jungle allowed me to see incredible wildlife, including orangutans and monkeys.
It would have been even better if they had a water dispenser to reduce plastic bottle usage.

I had the most incredible time staying at Orangutan Bungalow! The location was amazing, right at the entrance to the National Park. Waking up to monkeys and orangutans in the morning was a dream come true. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a fantastic stay. The jungle excursion was a highlight, with fun and knowledgeable guides. The restaurant on site served delicious, freshly cooked meals. The spacious family villa had a beautiful terrace and the garden was well-maintained. I couldn't recommend this place more!
While the rooms could have been cleaner and the bed mattresses were a bit too hard, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience. The sanitary facilities also had some issues, and lockers were not available.
